In June of 2006, upon hearing an advertisement for auditions to join a beginner's actor's group, she instantly decided to reignite her dream of becoming an actor.
Eager to participate and learn as much as she could about the film making process, Janet went to as many auditions as possible, assisted in casting events, and volunteered as a production assistant on several projects. She also volunteered for the Boston International Film Festival in late 2006 through early 2007. Although she enjoyed all of the aspects of film making, her focus is on her true love of acting.
Currently a Non-Union actress, she became a student of The Carter Thor Studios in Boston with instructor Jock MacDonald, studied with Carolyn Pickman of CP Casting, Anne Mulhall of LDI casting, and has continued to pursue a career with unwavering determination. Cast as Faith, and brought on board as an Associate Producer the short tpsychological thriller "Karma' Choice" and official selection at the 2009 Boston International Film Festival, Janet has also appeared in the following feature films with Principal and Supporting Roles: Cubby Knowles; Soul Sisters; Life, Love & Loss; and Douglas the Movie. She also appeared in the Tricks of a Woman Trailer; several short films and did background work for The Game Plan and 21. Janet has also experienced participating in the 48 hour film project and appeared in the 2008 submission The Gunslinger Solution. Theater credits include principal roles in: The Girl; and The Big Show; and Principal roles in two Industrial Training videos f!
or Legal Sea Foods.
Her most recent work can be seen in the short film Damage Control, and in upcoming episodes of the popular web series High Heel Samurai. She has also recently wrapped as the Lead in the dramatic Independent Short Paper Thin; has been cast in an upcoming feature dramatic film Refuge (still in preproduction), pilot episode for a television series Boston Ballistics (still in preproduction), and has begun filming her latest project as Kimberly Wallace, a Lead female role in the Christian feature film Luke 11 in late March.
She is also extremely excited to begin classes in the Digital Film Making and Video Production Program at the New England Institute of Art in the Fall of 2009.
