     Brett Mallard, Actor/Director – An award winning actor/director with more than 25 years experience in the performing arts, Brett brings a wealth of talent and passion for his work. Known for his ability to create diverse and exciting character roles, Brett has performed in hundreds of professional, regional and community theatre productions over the years. Twice nominated "Best Actor in a Musical" for the Seacoast Spotlight on the Arts Award, he also starred in the 2000 and 2001 winning "Best Musical" productions of Sweeney Todd and Titanic at SRT. Other roles at SRT include Daddy Warbucks in Annie, Ben Franklin in 1776, Oscar in The Odd Couple, George in La Cage Aux Folles, and Hook/Darling in Peter Pan to name a few.
    Recently, his talents have been focused on directing. Brett was the runner up in the NH Theatre Awards category of "Best Director" for his direction of the award winning Actorsinger productions of Titanic and Ragtime. Ragtime went on to win 5 NH Theatre Awards including “Best Musical” for the 2003 season. In 2004 Brett produced and directed the award winning production of WIT with his own theatre company, the “New England Academy of Music and Drama”. WIT won “Best Show” and “Best Supporting Actress” at the 2005 NH Theatre Awards, as well as placing in the top five nominations for “Best Actress”, “Best Lighting Design”, and “Best Director”. Brett also directed the critically acclaimed production of Ragtime at the Seacoast Repertory Theatre, which was nominated for 12 NH Theatre Awards, including “Best Musical” and “Best Director”, as well as receiving the Seacoast Spotlight on the Arts Award for “Best Director”. Other directorial credits include Beauty and the Beast with the Peacock Players in Nashua, NH, Honk! at the Bell Center in Dover, NH, Nunsense with the Music and Drama Company of Derry, Man of La Mancha with Actorsingers, Annie at Seacoast Repertory Theatre and his Off-Broadway directorial debut of Hedwig and the Angry Inch at the Theatre at St. Clements in NYC.
