January 1st 2008 - Happy New Year! With the New Year brings an upgraded section of Ahtspot.com!  Our jobs section has now been upgraded to a career opportunities section.  We had been working on this section for several months after many requests from businesses and events to have a section where they can post contests, festivals, grants, scholarships, workshops and classes.  Be sure to check it out at the “Career” tab above.

Also don’t forget, the Ahtstore is now open, where you can purchase great Ahtspot merchandise that will help support the site you love! Show off that you're proud to be a New England Ahtist. And you can also check out our testimonials page to see what other ahtists are saying about us.  Have a Happy New Year and keep checking back for more exciting updates!

Ahtspot wants to hear from you!
Ahtspot has opened a testimonials section of the site so we can hear from our ahtist!  Just log into the members section and click on testimonials.  Tell us what you like or don’t like about Ahtspot.  Let us know if it has gotten you any work.  We might use some of your quotes in our about section or in any of our future advertising.  If you really want to be used, phrase your responses like a true testimonial… “Ahtspot is awesome because…”  We look forward to reading your comments about our services and your suggestions for us to help you.

Ahtspot’s Open Call is tonight!

All actors, comedians and performers as well as filmmakers, directors, producers, and casting directors from across New England (Ahtspot Members and Non-Ahtspot Members alike) are welcome to come to the Ahtspot’s Open Call event at Tazza Café at 250 Westminster St. in Providence.  The show starts at 7:00pm so do not be late!  If you want to sign up, be there before 6:00pm to sign up.  If you are already registered, make sure you check in at the Open Call table so we know you are there.  This event is not to be missed!

June 1st 2007 -  Last year’s Open Call event was such a great success, we decided to do it again!  Coming this June 25th will be the 2nd annual Open Call event for the Rhode Island Film Collaborative’s 48 Hour Film Project!  Even better is that this year Ahtspot members can pre-register in the members section and skip the line!  Just sign into the members section and click on Open Call Event at the bottom of the page.  Later come back and click here to see where you are in the list order.  Not a member yet?  Sign Up now and as soon as your account has been approved and posted, you can sign up too!  It is first come first serve, so sign up now!  See you all on June 25th at Tazza Café in Providence!
March 11th 2007 - Well 2007 is well under way!  Ahtspot has been growing in leaps and bounds and our ahtists are getting more exposure than ever.  So far this year Ahtspot has generated more than a half a million hits to the site!  More and more we hear stories of ahtists getting work and being discovered.  We are happy to serve the New England Arts Community and we are honored to now have over four hundred members!  Ahtspot will continue to serve the community and we ask for your help to spread the word.

      Since our last update Ahtspot has chosen their newest logo from a collection of New England Ahtists who submitted their designs.  The new logo was created and designed by graphic designer Chris Magdalenski.  He was awarded a check for $350 and honored by his peers at the last Ahtspot networking party.  We thank Chris and all who entered the contest and we were glad to have them all as members.  Ahtspot thanks the local community and we will continue to strive and develop new ways to service you.
January 1st 2007 - Happy New Year to All the Ahtists Out There!  May 2007 bring you great success.  Ahtspot is looking forward to 2007 as a promising year.  We are just a few sign-ups away from having over 300 ahtists on the site.  We also have received some great new logos for the contest. some of those will be posted on the site to get public opinion.

     The biggest news of the year right now is going to be an Ahtspot Networking Party on Sunday January 28th 2007 at Tazza Café in Providence, RI.  Mark your calendars now!  It will be a huge ahtist party and the best part is there is no cover charge for Ahtspot memebers.  Just print out your Ahtspot entry and that is a ticket for you and a guest to get in!  So I hope to see you all there.

     So look out for new features and addition this year and let’s show them what New England has to offer!
September 18th 2006 - Well, today marks the one year anniversary of the creation of Ahtspot!  We wanted to take a moment to thank all of you who have embraced Ahtspot as we moved from an ambitious concept to a full fledged resource for New England artists.

     In just a year, Ahtspot.com has generated over 500,000 hits from people interested in the New England arts scene.  We are also proud to have over 200 artists as part of our community database.  If you have not already become a part of Ahtspot, please sign up now.  As always, this service is free!

     In celebration of our anniversary, we are introducing the official Ahtspot Logo Design Contest.  This is a great opportunity for the graphically inclined to showcase their talents for a chance to win $350 and to become the official logo artist of Ahtspot.  Click here for the details of the contest.

June 27th 2006 - Last night, Ahtspot co-sponsored Open Call at Tazza in Providence, RI.  The event was a smash hit!  Click here to see the article and photos from the evening.  Ahtspot.com continues to grow, with its artist database now containing over 150 artists!  If you have not yet signed up with Ahtspot, do so now!  Remember it’s free and costs you only a few minutes of your time.  Begin to network now and make sure to check out our events, jobs and news sections!
April 5th 2006 - After only a few short months online, Ahtspot.com has reached its first major milestone. As of April 5th, the Ahtists Database now features over 100 New England artists and organizations from almost every category of the creative arts! This milestone also marks the beginning of the Ahtspot Logo Design Contest—details will be unveiled soon.
     As the popularity of Ahtspot continues to grow, more and more artists are using our services. There has never been a better time to enter your information into our FREE database of New England artists and organizations. Through Ahtspot.com, our artists receive more exposure to supporters of the arts, as well as opportunities to network with other artists. Also take some time to read our reviews and information about local events, or post an art-related opportunity in our Jobs section.
March 6th 2006 - Ahtspot.com the home for artists in New England is gaining momentum. Now with more than 80 artists, a number of reviews, and an effective events section, Ahtspot.com is doing very well since it's opening in September of 2005. The one section that could use some more help is the Jobs section which needs more artist jobs posted in it. If you know anyone who is need of artists in New England, please tell them to post on Ahtspot.com, it's free. If you're not already a member, sign up today! (That's Free Also!)
September 18th 2005 - After years of research and many months of hard work coding, building, and designing, we now launch our beta version of Ahtspot.com. This site has been a dream of ours and is now becoming a very real and useable reality. We welcome you to use our site and all of our services to help the New England Arts Community grow and thrive. You may see many changes in this site over the next couple of months. We ask for your help by using our services and contacting us with your feedback so we can better improve the quality of our site.
