From stage to film, from family festivals to circus sideshows, Will Hunter is an all round Entertainer. Will is an Actor, Magician, Comic, and Voiceover Artist. He is a actor that has taken the words of Joseph Campbell to heart and has “Followed His Bliss” His range of experience in a result of this dedication. His experience ranges from acting for film, television and on stage to performing street magic and comedy.
As an actor he had various roles on stages around New England including Mixed Magic Theater, Culture Park Theater/UMASS Dartmouth, King Richard’s Faire, The New Hampshire Renaissance Faire, Four C’s Theater, and The Black Box Theater.
In magic he has been seen in dozens of cities as Billy Boston doing his unique balloon magic act and at Renaissance Faires nationwide as “Will the Wizard”. His prestidigitation skills range from stage ‘mind reading’ shows to close-up slight of hand. Former clients include Ames Department Store, Kay Jewelers, Dee’s Crystal Castle, Lisbon Moxie Festival, and Hannaford Grocery Store.
On the lighter side he has performed stand-up in the Pocono Mountains and in various other places. He blends stand-up comedy and magic to do “M.C.” work for events, including working as the host of the famous “Moxie Days Festival” in Lisbon Maine.
On the bizarre side, he wrote, co-produced and performed two one-man productions – “Séance’: Chilling Theater” and “Dr. Forde’s Most Amazing Sideshow Lecture”. He has worked a circus sideshow, designed and built several haunted attractions, and as a rational observer, he researched psychic entertainment and spiritualist phenomena. He is available as a speaker and consultant on the Victorian Séance, the American Sideshow, and he gives informative demonstrations of mind reading and psychic entertainment. He has a significant collection of props and artifacts related to magic, séance’ and sideshow including a six foot tall guillotine. His props make demonstrations memorable and can be used for film and television documentary.
He is currently the writer/ plot director for the New Hampshire Renaissance Festival.
He holds a Bachelors Degree in History from Eastern Nazarene College, is currently Pursuing Master Degree in Special Education at Bridgewater State College, and has various training in acting, magic, stage combat, comedy, broadcasting and voice.
When not charming and amazing people around New England and beyond, Will enjoys spending time with his wife, Anne Walsh a writer from Providence, RI. He likes reading and dreaming. |
