Ms. W. Laurie A. Ewer is an actor, singer, dancer, writer, director, and visual artist born in Dover, New Hampshire.
Since beginning dance at the age of two, Ms. Ewer has spent her life on the stage as a dancer, actor and singer. After performing in "The Nutcracker" with the Pittsburgh Ballet, Ms. Ewer danced competitively in the LIDA Productions Pageant system for over ten years, amassing over 200 titles to her credit.
After the success of a nationally syndicated commercial, Ms. Ewer turned to performing professionally, and, as of the date of this publication, has over 30 theatrical credits to her name, some of which include the off-off Broadway "Soul Searching" (Theatre for the New City) and originating the lead role of "Candy" in the world premiere of Ernest Thompson's (Academy Award: "On Golden Pond") new play "Ax of Love." Ms. Ewer was most recently a guest artist for AUDIOSLAVE, a fundraiser presented by The Yin Yen Collective at Marfa Music (NYC).
After graduating Summa Cum Laude with a Theatre degree from UNH, Ms. Ewer founded "Bend Rovato Arts & Theatre," (B.R.A.T.), an artists' collaborative highlighting new and old creative endeavors in art, performance, literature and music. Her most recent production, "Happy Girl," (also authored by Ms. Ewer) played to sold-out houses in London, England.
Ms. Ewer is also a regular voiceover artist for The Grist Mill Radio Show, The AmFm Theatre Company, and will be showcased in Spring 2011 as a guest on Tom Pryor's "From Stoops to Nuts" radio program. She can next be seen in the annual V-Day production of "The Vagina Monologues" in April 2011, and is currently pursuing her love of abstract painting with an exhibition slated for Summer 2011 at Decorator Studios in Brooklyn, NY.
