Spencer is currently a Music Theory undergrad at the University of Connecticut. There he is studying composition privately with Grammy Nominee Dr. Kenneth Fuchs. He's always had a natural gift and passion for music, which was cultivated by the many talented people in his family. He is well-versed on the piano and saxophone, but composing is Spencer's true gift and love. His ability to communicate well with others and convey ideas and emotions through music make him an ideal choice for a film score composer.
Spencer has worked with Director Daniel Lee White on his two most recent short films, "Used Books" and his 2007 48HR submission, "The Pitch". Currently, they are working on a project of Dan's involving giving a 14 year old boy from RI a chance to bring his script to life. Spencer is not only scoring, but also acting in this film.
Spencer's most comfortable writing with traditional orchestral instruments, but is entirely capable of other mediums. Influences include (but are by NO means limited to): John Williams, Hans Zimmer, and Radiohead, to name a few. |
