Ryan Storm is eleven & has been passionate about becoming a film director since he was five. He became fascinated with director George Lucas, studying his earlier works such as "THX1138," and researching his biography. Ryan then developed his own website with films he directed himself, using digital animation with his Legos, and then shooting live-action films using accommodating friends & family members.
He began taking courses at RISD for stop-motion animation, attended Kid Film Directors Camp in Newport , and studied TV & video production and radio broadcasting at Stonehill College.
In order to be around film sets Ryan began acting, training at Boston Casting, CP Casting, and Riverside Theater. He has appeared in the feature films "Gone Baby Gone," "27 Dresses," and "Surrogates," along with the HBO series Brotherhood, and student films for NYU, RISD, Wheaton and Emerson College. He has also appeared on PBS television's "Kid Fitness" and Noggin's "Play With Me Sesame."
Ryan enjoys acting in the theater, and has performed roles in Children of Eden, Oliver, The Sound of Music, and A Christmas Carol. Through these experiences he has acquired the ability to cry on cue and has developed his singing voice. He has also done several voice-overs, and works as a print model for Dynasty Models in Boston.
In 2007, Ryan held the lead in the film "The End" which won the award for "Best Film" in the Rhode Island 48-Hour Film Project.
When not pursuing his true passion, Ryan finds time to play ice hockey, soccer, football, go skiing, swim, and play the drums.
