Now in its 72nd season, the Players has staged more than 300 different plays over the years, including works by Shakespeare and Shaw, Ibsen, Wilde, Wilder, Beckett, Williams, Miller and Mamet, as well as world and regional premieres and recent work by contemporary playwrights. During the 2000 season, the Players extended its traditional 5-play season, adding the run a 6th production, which extended the season into mid-September.
