Nathaniel
Tanner is an accomplished producer whose work
has been seen on networks including NBC, ABC,
UPN, and COX. Tanner has producer television
features and news pieces covering such topics
as Airport expansion to proposed CNG terminals,
Union disputes and rising property costs.
Other subjects include, travel, music, and
alternative sports. Tanner's first film debut,
PAY YOUR WAY, was released in 2003 and is
considered to be the first Surf Film to expose
big wave surfing in the Northeast, US. At
age 20, he was traveling around Central America
in search of undiscovered waves and, at the
age of 25, was the first person to capture
a newly discovered big wave, somewhere of
the rugged coast between Costa Rica and Nicaragua,
called The Ledge. Several of the clips can
be seen in a short Tanner produced, called
Someday, a finalist in the 2005 Proven film
festival. He lives in Newport, RI and is currently
working on his next surfing documentary.
