Currently teaching classes age level 3 through
adult. Classes taught include ballet, tap,
jazz, modern, theatre dance, lyrical, beginner
ballet and tap, adult jazz and Pilates. Lesson
plans utilized in preparations for classes.
Teach recital dances and competition pieces
to students, groups as well as solos, duos
and trios.
Dance studio monitor for the college. While
in the studio, I also assisted and mentored
students in dance. I would help them with
choreographic studies for classes. Internship with NHDI. I would go into elementary
schools during their gym time and teach them
dance through natural movement. At this time,
I learned how to utilize lesson plans to assist
me in teaching.
Began predominantly to focus on modern and
ballet. Took classes in dance, acting, directing,
stage design, theatre history, dance history,
dance education, theatre education as well
as performing with the FPC dancers and in
theater productions. Received the Alvin Award
for Outstanding Achievement in Dance due to
my work with children. Graduated with honors
in my major.
