Michele Metivier
Model - Providence, RI
A native of Rhode Island knew since age three she wanted to work in the entertainment industry. For as long as she remembers, she would sing, dance and put on "shows" for friends and family. At six, Michele was creating and putting on "Backyard Plays" with other neighborhood kids, and soon became the neighborhood star!
At 11, Michele began studying dance at Miss Sheila's School of Dance in Lincoln, RI. She rigorously studied Tap, Jazz, Ballet and Acrobats. Two years later she taught Dance classes as an assistant to her dance instructor and has been teaching ever since.
During high school, Michele participated in the Chorus and was accepted to the Rhode Island All State Chorus. Throughout high school Michele pursued her interest in acting by taking classes at the Perishable Theater in Providence, RI.
Early in high school, Michele wanted to develop her love for theater. Unfortunately, the school lacked a drama department. With support from many students and teachers (and with much energetic lobbying!) Michele founded the North Providence High School Drama Club, a club that has since greatly expanded.
As a Telecommunications Major at Rhode Island College, Michele studied Television/Video Production, minoring in Modern Dance. She gained invaluable production and studio experience at local Radio Station WSNE-FM.
In 2002, Michele began modeling at John Casablanca's Modeling and Career Center in Cranston, RI. In the Fall of 2004, her modeling adventures brought her to the MB Expo in Dallas, Texas where she placed first runner up in the Television Commercial Competition.
In the fall of 2006, Michele accepted the lead role of "Ellen", in Director Keto Shimizu’s, "Threads: The Death of Balder." Michele can also be seen as an extra in Showtime’s original dramatic series, "Brotherhood."
