Mark Binder is an award-winning performer and the author of four books and four audio recordings for adults and families. He has written extensively on business and information as the editor of Food Distribution Journal, and contributing editor for Home Office Computing. He has served as the Acting Director for the East Bay Coalition for the Homeless. He tells stories and leads workshops like Tales for Peace and Eureka! Inspirational Math in schools, churches and synagogues, and adult education programs. He has told original and traditional stories to broad audiences at festivals from Virginia to Massachusetts, in parking lots in Roxbury and Dorchester, and at WaterFire. He has served on the adjunct faculty of the Rhode Island School of Design, where he teaches “Telling Lies.” He is the founder of the American Story Theater.
