     Lydia Perez and her group "Yoruba2 " present traditional music and dance from Puerto Rico and the Caribbean. The group includes such known genres as 'bomba', 'plena', Yoruba song, and other rhythms. She offers Solo/Residency of six sections of Bomba or Plena ensemble group in school or afterschool program. Audiences are introduced to a wealth of information on the culture of Puerto Rico . Lydia performs and teaches music that is in her "blood and spirit". She is Singing, Drumming and Dancing. She has received higher honor from Rhode Island, Connecticut, New England and won the American Tradition 99 and 2000 National Project Tourism. She travels Nation-wide to express through her music that her culture is alive. She founder and CEO of the Puerto Rican Institute for Arts and Advocacy, Inc. RI, a non-Profit Organization. She is a provider of Afro-Caribbean Arts Program after school and school program in RI.
