A Rhode Island native, Jamie graduated from the University of Rhode Island with a double major in film media and broadcast journalism and a minor in theatre. He is currently in rehearsal for The Graduate (Benjamin Braddock) at The Courthouse Center for the Arts in West Kingston, R.I. and is a freelance filmmaker and video journalist. He will appear as Don Baker in Butterflies are Free at the Newport Playhouse April-May 2009. He has been seen in The Belle's Stratagem at Second Story Theatre and Over the River and Through the Woods at the Newport Playhouse and Cabaret Restaurant (back by popular demand March-April 2009) and has also appeared in the Colonial Theatre's Shakespeare in the Park productions of The Merchant of Venice, Much Ado About Nothing, A Midsummer Night's Dream, and Romeo and Juliet as well as the URI productions of The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie, Amadeus, Stuff Happens and The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas. He produced and starred in the short films "Winner" and "Regards", which were accepted to the 2008 and 2007 R.I. International Film Festival and took first place and Best of Festival honors at the URI Visualizations Film Festival.
