Fusionwroks
Dance Company was founded in 1987 by the Artistic
Director, Deb Meunier. The company members
are known for their gutsy, striking and provocative
interpretations of works by an impressive
line-up of contemporary choreographers including
Peter Schmitz, David Dorfman, Ze’Eva
Cohen, Pooh Kaye, Robert Battle, and Deb Meunier.
The company has been presented throughout
the Northeast including Jacob's Pillow, The
92nd Street Y in New York and ECA in New Haven,
also in numerous colleges including U.Mass,
Amherst, Brown University, Duke University,
and Bridgewater State College.
In its desire to bring modern dance to
the children and families of many communities,
Fusionworks has also developed an array
of exciting educational and community dance
programs which blend professional performances
with participatory workshops and classes
for all ages of dancers and non-dancers.
These programs have been met with tremendous
enthusiasm and success. The company works
year round in theaters, universities, public
and private schools, museums and libraries,
YMCA's and community centers.
