Eric Robert has been actively performing on the stages of New England in both amateur and professional environments for 20 years. He has been regaled in the media as a, "facile and evocative character actor, engaging audiences of many types throughout the region with his florid linguistic abilities and disarming, contagious charm. Expect many satisfying & multi-faceted performances to come from this gifted Northern New England native."
Eric has developed his talents as a musician and singer since high school. He has played numerous lead and supporting-lead roles in such noteable musicals as; Boomers, Follies, Sound of Music and Phantom. As a character actor, Eric has carried pivotal roles many Shakespearean production, such as: "Don Armado" in Loves Labours Lost; "Banquo" in Macbeth; "Don John" in Much Ado About Nothing and "The Prince of Verona" in Romeo and Juliet. Additional lead roles have included "Eddie" in Sam Shepherd's Fool for Love, and " 'Bruce' (James) Bond" in Murder and Mayhem Production's dinner-theater show, A Deadly Briefcase. One of Eric's most enjoyable and challenging roles was his day-long improvisational appearance as the characrer "Sirius Black" from the Harry Potter book/movie series at the July 20th, '07 Midnight Madness event at a very large book retailer in the region.
Although Eric is credited with other achievements as a performing artist, the preceeding serves as a broad sampling of his range and capabilities.
Unfolding Story Pictures/GroovyFilms.com of Denver, Colo. made a beautifully sweeping and poetic film in the Fall of 2006 amongst the historic wooden covered bridges and environs of New Hampshire and Vermont. It's called "Bridge Crusader", and it is a love story, a ghost story, an adventure film and more - all in one. Eric was cast as the lead actor in this unique film. During Summer, '07, Eric has been cast in several noteable New England productions, both on camera and onstage. He will be seen in "Fog Off", a wide-distribution comedic short done by Beaniewood's own Midnight Chimes Productions; "Tears for the Blind", a dramatic film short by young Massachussetts filmmaker Zach Krowiak; and as "The Death Hunter" in "Spiked Punch", a classic horror/slasher film written, directed, shot and produced by Nashua, N.H. filmmaker Nick DiRamio
Eric has served as a living model and a photo model for noteable Rennaissance-era clothiers and haberdashers, such as Center Stage Costumes of Haverhill, Mass. Additional modeling references are available upon request.
