| Ellen Becker-Gray grew up in the seacoast town of Marblehead, Massachusetts. A kindergarten teacher in that town's public schools from 1985 to 2005, she took early retirement to focus on her career as a performer. Trained in theatre, Ellen appeared throughout New England. In addition to performing, she directs, produces and teaches acting at many levels. Ellen began her transition to film as an actor in 2004. She appeared in over 27 feature films and 3 independent films. She also has more than 20 television episodes to her credit. Ellen received the Best Actress Award for her role in Paul Lawrence’s "A Writer's Moon", an entry in the Providence 2007 48 Hour Film Project. She directed Lawrence’s "Monte's Last Cut" for the Providence 2008 48 Hour Film Project. She performed as Madame de la Grand Bouche in Beauty and the Beast at the Mount Washington Valley Theatre in North Conway, NH. Other favorite roles include Maud Dunlop in The Music Man, Mrs. Bedwin in Oliver! and Irma Slocum in Best Christmas Pageant Ever. Ellen is married to Rob Gray who is also active in the industry. They are the founders of Fanfaire Productions. Ellen is a member of Actor's Equity Association (AEA), Screen Actor's Guild (SAG), and the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (AFTRA).
