Deric Bender, a native Rhode Islander, is a graduate of the University of New Hampshire, where he majored in Theater Performance. He is an "A" list performer for the improv group the "Speed of Thought Players". They are an improv group that specializes in all types of improv, but the biggest crowd favorite is the short form "Whose Line is it Anyway?" style improv. Audiences jump at the chance to be a part of the show and laugh with them, as they are able to create a universe that borders on ridiculous. Deric has performed for many colleges and also performs a limited number of stand up shows at some of the area's hottest comedy spots. Deric has also been involved with the Rhode Island Film Collaborative.
