Isaiah D. Cooper, Esq., is the founder and principal of Cooper Law LLC in New Haven, Connecticut. Isaiah Cooper is a lawyer focused on providing practical solutions for complex business transactions. His clients include major independent film producers, a film completion guarantor, producers of computer technology, software, hardware and software combinations, educational technology and consulting firms. His practice is focused on business transactions including the acquisition or sale of companies or assets, the sale equity interests in private placement financing, bank or other debt finance, and agreements with suppliers, distributors, consultants and employees. Mr. Cooper began his law career in 1991 as a tax associate at a New York firm representing Carl Icahn. After moving to Connecticut in 1994, Isaiah worked at Withers Bergman LLP (’94-’96), Pepe & Hazard (’96-01) and Gregory and Adams, P.C. (’01-’03) before founding Cooper Law LLC in 2004. Prior to attending law school, Mr. Cooper was a professional musician performing music with orchestras, chamber music, jazz, avant garde, soul and salsa groups. He was principal trombonist in the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra in Israel, lived and studied in Germany, and was principal trombonist in the Santa Monica Symphony and several others in Los Angeles. He has recorded at Universal Studios and others. He is still performing. Isaiah received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degreee in trombone performance from S.U.N.Y. in Buffalo, a Master of Music degree from Youngstown State University, did advanced studies at the University of Memphis and the Staatliche Hochschule Für Musik Und Darstellende Kunst in Stuttgart, Germany, worked on a Doctor of Musical Arts at the University of Southern California and obtained his J.D. from New York University School of Law. He is admitted to practice in New York and Connecticut.
