     Carol Drewes was born in New Hampshire but (mis)spent much of her teens and early adulthood in the Midwest.
      She now raises her teenage daughter in the historic Edgewood section of Cranston, RI (who knew?) and enjoys a day job as a university fundraiser.
      Carol pursued acting, costuming and arts administration careers in and around Chicago, Minneapolis and southern Michigan for twenty years.
      Technical credits include Chanhassen Dinner Theatre, the Guthrie Theatre, Goodman School of Drama at DePaul, and the venerable Weathervane Summer Repertory in Whitefield, NH. As an actress she enjoys drama and musicals equally, and has been fortunate to play diverse roles at Chanhassen, Weathervane, Harwich Junior Theatre and numerous dinner and community theatres in the Midwest and New England. Favorite stage roles to date: Miss Maudie-To Kill A Mockingbird; Maria-Lend Me A Tenor; Starbuck (yes, Starbuck!) - 110 In The Shade; Ensemble - Vagina Monologues. She taught youth drama and has coached actors, artists, and attorneys on audition and presentation technique.
     Carol started out doing commercials and extra work (Sealy Posturepedic, Alaskan Airlines, McDonald's) and graduated a feature role in an indy horror film, followed by training film narration and news specials. She has recently completed shooting for Festival! The Movie, an independent comedy mockumentary shot in Rhode Island and New York, playing manic Anglophile Priscilla Dragon (think Dame Edna x Hyacinth Bouquet).
      Carol was the voice of the Rochester Area Council for the Arts in a monthly radio show for two years. Her voiceover studies with Wren Ross will produce a demo in the summer of 2010.
      An accomplished jazz singer, Carol has soloed with the Moonlighters Big Band of Cape Cod and as a church and wedding singer. She was a founding member of Inner Voices, a Cape Cod a capella group, and is a member of Providence's RPM Voices, a full gospel choir.
