The Boston International Film Festival was created to celebrate the art of filmmaking and to honor the filmmakers who make it all possible. This is a festival dedicated to rewarding artists for their individual talents and for their creative expression through the medium of film. The festival strives to bring together in Boston local, national and international filmmakers by promoting the world’s most artistic and creative independent and experimental films. As a nonprofit arts organization, the Boston International Film Festival is a celebration to showcase a diverse collection of films – from emerging and established filmmakers worldwide. It is a spectacular and ambitious undertaking. It is dedicated to honoring, encouraging and rewarding the many talented, creative, independent filmmakers from around the world who dare to express themselves in new, unique and imaginative ways. Our film selections highlight the richness of human cultures while recognizing universal themes
and the similarities that exist among all cultures.
BIFF Screenplay to Production Contest
(BIFF SPC) offers an opportunity for under-represented screenwriters and filmmakers to produce a film entirely from Pre-Production, Production, Post-Production
to a completed finished project on High Definition Format only. Selected Projects may be produced anywhere in the United States.
