Raised in Massachusetts and graduate of Westfield State College, Alberto Carlos Peart has always been an achiever at his tasks. The youngest of five siblings, he had always been the daring, imaginative, creative child. Always putting his all into what he was doing. Still till this day he is the same kid. In high school he performed in numerous productions with the school’s company and Shakespeare and Co. based in Lenox, MA. He started his journey into dance, performing at Six Flags New England and Six Flags Darien Lake NY, dancing in a number of shows. Still continuing to act, he performed in theater productions at Springfield Technical Community College. Shortly after, he started working with Fred Astaire Dance Studios, where he focused on both smooth and rhythm dances. In 2005, he decided to train with Serious Play Intensive Theatre, based in Northampton, MA while continuing to teach and train in dance. Some of the theatre shows Alberto has performed in are The Glass Menagerie, Antigone, Hamlet (where he was awarded a scholarship from the Western Massachusetts Community Theatre Association.) Other shows include Taming of the Shrew, and The Mouse Trap, Spring’s Awakening directed by Dan Barnes and a stage piece of The Error by Palestinian novelist Adania Shibli, directed by John Fiscella. Recently He has performed in Matermorphosis, directed by Shyrel Stoodly, an adaptation of Franz Kafka’s, Metamorphosis, which was also performed at the KO Festival in Amherst, MA. Adding to the list Alberto has been awarded first place for New England Regional Fred Astaire Dance Championships twice, and choreographed highly acclaimed off Broadway show The City that Cried Wolf. And recently started Comedia Del Smart Ass for Serious Play Theatre.
